Wendyhouse - Suit Suit Kill Kill
Wendyhouse have been around since 1992 when Bryce "Mr Pudding" Galloway, EE monk and an itinerant percussionist climbed into a windowless dollshouse (or Wendyhouse) to perform songs from the future. Their future was the year 2032 and the venue for this Sci-fi nonsense was Auckland's Artspace gallery and Soundwatch festival.
18 years later, Wendyhouse are still going. The time between has seen the release of five cassettes, six CDs, one seven inch single and a comic. Wendyhouse have toured nationally on several occasions as well as popping up at various art events throughout New Zealand.
The music of Wendyhouse was initially played on toy musical instruments only. Instruments for big kids were gradually introduced. Through the late 90s/early zeros a fondness for chance recording saw the group's pop-punk music become increasingly abstract. However, the latest offerings - 2005's Wendyhouse Christmas Album and 2010's Garage Strand see the return of the song.
