Spiritual Disciplines Lesson 4: Statio
We are to PRESS on towards Spiritual Disciplines! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
The 4th spiritual discipline “S” stands for “STATIO” which is a Latin word for “station”, “position” or “watch.” It is often described as a holy pause that we take in between activities to remember and enjoy God’s presence. 🙏🏻
The Bible Memory Verse tells us, “Be still and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10
Instead of hurrying from one activity to another, let’s practise STATIO by remembering to S.T.O.P ✋.
Before moving on to the next activity, let’s
S- Stop whatever you are doing
T- Take deep breaths
O- Observe your thoughts and feelings
P- Pray about what you want to do next.
Let us learn to be still in between activities, and have these special holy pauses, called statio throughout the day and remember God’s presence! ❤️❤️❤️
