Why China is more developed than India?
Both India and China have incredibly long and interesting histories.
Both countries have,
1. Attained independence at roughly the same time, i.e. China in 1949 and India in 1947;
2. An equally large population;
3. A similar demographic makeup, whereby the population of both countries can be divided into a multitude of different ethnicities which speak different languages;
4. Both had adopted socialistic economic policies during the initial years of independence;
5. Been greatly damaged by foreign exploitation and war during the industrial revolution; and
6. Similar locations with similarly-sized cultural spheres of influence
So, considering the similarities between the two great powers, why has China overtaken India?
