In this video, I’ll be swapping SSDs between my *PS5* and my *new PS5 Pro**! 🚀 I’m moving my trusty **WD Black SN850X 2TB NVMe SSD* from the PS5 to the PS5 Pro and installing a brand new *Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB SSD* into the original PS5.
I’ll show you the entire process, from removing the drives to testing their speeds. The WD Black has been a beast, with read speeds clocking in at **6,541 MB/s**, but how will the Samsung 990 EVO Plus compare? 🤔
Spoiler alert: The Samsung 990 EVO Plus came in at **6,335 MB/s**—slightly slower than the WD Black, but still super fast for gaming! And let’s not forget, the Samsung drive is much cheaper on Amazon right now compared to what I paid for the WD back in February 2023. 💸
