In this video, we will show how to fit a nursing bra in 3 simple steps!
1. Cups. The bra cups should fully encompass your breasts. Notice the wider smile on the wire channel. This is particularly noteworthy if you choose to wear a flexible wire nursing bra during your pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
You bra cup needs a reasonable amount of top cup stretch without it being rigid. Good top cup bra stretch will ensure your bust if fully encompassed as you milk comes in and out, allowing room for change.
2. Underband. The bra underband should fit snugly. It shouldn’t feel overly tight or restrictive. In saying this, it should feel reasonably firm as 80% of a bras support comes from the underband.
3. Straps. The bra straps shouldn’t be loose or overly tight. Whilst most of the support in a bra comes from the underband, the straps do play a role. They shouldn’t be digging in or leaving any marks.
