#ad The Culture Rated (@cultureratedpv) team really put me on to something special. I saw a lot of familiar faces like Mahaila Jackson, Dorothy Dandrige, Diahann Carroll, and Sidney Portier, but also so many more. (Also some art pieces I may want for my home).
Special thanks to the Detroit Institute of Arts (@diadetroit) and the Academy Museum (@academymuseum) for hosting Regeneration: Black Cinema 1898 – 1971 and putting an intimate, yet vast picture of Black entertainment history on display. It was truly an honor, and I have learned so much. If you are in Detroit please go and see it before it leaves June 23rd, 2024.
