DareDevils Race Beta v1.1! This is only a beta version of the mod and it will feature more content in the final release!
For those of you who don't know, DareDevils Race is a Chao Race mod that changes the bots and some textures in Hero Race/Dark Race to make it more challenging.
Before going on, I just wanted to mention a few things that would help me and the mod out to become better. This is a beta, and you are the beta tester.
Beta testers jobs are usually to write down notes, find bugs, input ideas and lots more. Looking at this, are you willing to put the time and effort into this?
Do you have the patients? Can you give POSITIVE criticism? Do you have experience? All these things is what makes beta testers and the project better.
If you have all these in you, then lets go onto the useful things you could do.
Reporting:
Screenshots; giving screenshots is always a good method if your showing a glitch or demonstrating something. It can help more than you think.
Videos; videos would always be better than screenshots and gives me more detail on what to fix and/or make better.
Messages; messaging is an option as well, even if you can't screenshot or produce a video then messaging me can help a lot. Complimenting is nice but I'm looking for constructive feedback.
Now that that's over with, lets get on to the races.
HERO RACE:
Name: Babies On The Loose!
Description: This is just a basic race of baby dark chao, it may look like the original however it's a bit harder difficulty wise.
Tips: Make sure you're ahead of the baby dark run chao!
Name: Dark & Colourful!
Description: This is a race of all solid coloured dark chao! What a nice view.
Tips: Watch out for the purple chao!
Name: Too Bright!
Description: This is a flashy race of all "Bright Chao!" It's so bright!
Tips: Don't waste your stamina on the 8th bot, you should save it until your on the rock walls.
Name: The Devil's Assistant.
Description: This Sapphire chao is no joke! If you lose sight of him, this may be your last chance!
Tips: If he gets hit by the omochao, now is your chance to catch up!
DARK RACE:
Name: Two-Tones Attack!
Description: An all out Two-Tone battle! Did this make you want to breed a Two-Tone chao?
Tips: The yellow Two-Tone is the only chao that can run, keep an eye on him!
Name: Texture Battle!
Description: This is a battle of all texture chao! Can you guess what each texture is from?
Tips: The black and white one seems to be the most powerful one there. Be sure you're ahead of him!
Name: Eggcellent Battle 2!
Description: Revenge of the Egg Chao!! It looks like all of their eggs broke in half from their last battle...except for one.
Tips: The full egged one does not want to lose again! Save your stamina until the pool.
Name: The Angel's Assistant.
Description: This is the final battle! Some may call this chao the "Green Flash."
Tips: If he gets hit by the box, this may be your only chance to get ahead of him!
Bug List:
In the race "Too Bright" the lighting effect may be incorrect and stay there forever even after the race is finished. You can fix this by playing a different race.
In the chao race menu when it shows a bot as a "preview" it will not match the bot that I have set, I haven't found a way to fix this. If you have please contact me!
Before starting a race, when the elevator comes up the bots may have the wrong chao type set, I have not found a way to fix this.
Final Words:
That's all I've got so far. Again, this is only a beta and there are features I do plan to add in the Final Release.
Please keep in mind that I released this not only for your enjoyment, but for constructive critism! Like mentioned above, this is a beta and you are the beta tester.
