Common Candle Pouring Mistakes To Avoid While Candle Making
These are some of the common mistakes to avoid while hand pouring candles:
WRONG TEMPERATURE - This can cause cracks, sinkholes, air bubbles within your candles which can prevent them from burning properly. To avoid this, follow the correct pouring instructions for your wax type.
OVERFILLING CONTAINERS - When you fill your candles all the way to the top, they tend to overflow when lit and extinguish as well. Avoid this issue by simply leaving 1/2 an inch from the top of your containers.
FAST & UNEVEN COOLING - It's very important to let your candles cool down slowly so you can avoid sinkholes, cracks and uneven surfaces. Just let them cool down naturally and away from any drafts or even children and pets that can disturb the cooling process.
