Here is an old school way to stop coming over the top. This has literally been around for as long as I can remember and work great.
To stop coming over the top you need to know why you are doing it. An over the top or outside in golf swing is caused from hitting with the arms. In doing so you get to the top and learn you whole body forward. This sends the path over the top cutting across the ball.
This creates an outside in swing path. If you couple this with a square face you get a pull, closed face creates a pull hook, open face creates a pull slice. So you see, if you have an over the top swing you will be hitting poor shots that will not allow you to play your best golf.
Watch this tip and do this simple old school drill. Once you do, you will stop coming over the top in minutes and start making better contact.
