The appearance of dragons in Medieval texts can be a source of ridicule. But we're approaching them with our modern perspective: where the world is catalogued, tamed, and understood. To the vast majority of medieval people, the world was anything but. Nature was perceived as an unknown and terrifying place, with strange and wonderful creatures that posed physical or spiritual threats. In such mystery, dragons find themselves at home; reports of huge threatening serpentine creatures are shared in many cultures; this video is a look at just one of those.
