Dauntless patch 1.6.2 adds aethersparks/reforging changes, Elder Behemoths, a Faction Future path and Warpike bug fixes and quality of life changes!
You no longer have to reforge your level 20 weapon in order to get an aetherheart! You can now reforge 200 aethersparks in order to get one aetherheart.
The Dauntless developers have doubled the amount of aethersparks needed to trade for a aetherhearts and still seems too expensive to me.
How to get Aetherhearts:
In Dauntless, Aetherhearts are used to power surge weapons and armour. Reforging a level 20 weapon compresses 100 aethersparks into an aetherheart. You can also reforge 200 aethersparks into 1 aetherheart in patch 1.6.2.
