Are Pets Update Coming to Dauntless?! (Everything We Know So Far)

What we know about Pets
Phoenix Labs don't want Pets to be another complex system on top of everything else so pets will be completely passive (they won't help against behemoths). Pets will flee from combat, they are scared of large behemoths. However, this may change in the future.

Pets will be located in the new loadouts menu (Loadouts can be named!)
You can rename them
You can have more than one aether element type of the same pets (Umbral and Blaze Geckos for example).
You can swap Pets in the top right
You can see the evolution status of each pet
Pets can have some form of equipment
Dauntless Developer Comments
Pets will be split into Aether elements and have two evolution steps. Pets will evolve as you hunt and they will evolve into their respective Aether element - for example a Gecko will evolve into a "Blaze Gecko".
We don't know when Pets will be added to Dauntless, my estimation would be one of the mini updates/patches after the Shattered Isles update.
