Using my MacBook Pro, "Early 2023" M2 Pro, I really wanted to run TWO external monitors but ran into a problem. The maximum allowed refresh rate was 30HZ on one monitor and 60HZ on the other. No matter what I did, I could not get 4K AND 60HZ simultaneously to both external monitors.

I was using the Cable Matters brand USB-C to HDMI cable, and they seem like a good quality cable. I read a lot on the issue and took a gamble just swapping to different cables. Using USB-C to Display Port cables solved the problem! Now I can run the MacBook screen at 60HZ or "ProMotion" at the same time as running two external 4K monitors at 60HZ.

My setup:
MacBook Pro "Early 2023" 16GB / 512GB
OWC 11-Port Thunderbolt dock
2x Samsung ViewFinity 28" LU28R55

My MAIN goal, was to solve this problem and have the ability to use the OWC dock and just ONE cable to connect the laptop when docking. It is working great, and I hope this can help someone else. Thanks for watching!
