The Kanguru Defender® Family of Hardware Encrypted USB Flash drives, Hard Drives and SSDs feature world-class military-grade data security, trusted by organizations around the world to protect sensitive information. With FIPS 197, XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption to NIST high standards, these devices are ideal for high-security environments including government, military, financial, and healthcare. The Defender 3000 model includes FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Certification with robust brute-force and waterproof protection for the most intense security environments. The Defender Elite300 along with the Defender 3000 is encased with an epoxy compound to protect the cryptographic chip, ensuring that the drives cannot be physically compromised while the 256-bit hardware encryption protects the data from high-level security threats. The Defender Elite30 is an affordable option for provides the same AES 256-Bit hardware encryption for more budget-conscious organizations who may not require high-level certifications. The Defender Bio-Elite30 uses biometric fingerprint access for ideal data protection. The Defender LifePlanner is an excellent platform for individuals to protect their own personal data including bank accounts, medical information, contacts, insurance information, property and mortgage, Wills and Trusts, and much more.

Another great feature of all Defender Hardware Encrypted USB drives include digitally-signed secure firmware, which makes Kanguru Defender drives the most trusted devices for a highly-secure environment. Organizations can trust Kanguru Defender drives because they can be whitelisted in an Endpoint Security environment to protect infrastructure against "badUSB". With digitally-signed secure firmware, Defender drives internal controller undergo a self-check of the firmware each time it is plugged in. The drive cannot be hacked or compromised to deliver malware into an organization.

All Defender Secure Drives include award-winning, onboard Anti-Virus by Bitdefender® (30-day free trial, subscription-based for live updates). The anti-virus and anti-malware consistently scans the device in the background, ensuring that all files remain safe and protected from viruses or malware.

Two models (Defender Elite300 and Defender Elite30) include a Physical Write Protect Switch; a convenient method of switching back and forth between read/write, and read-only modes. Switching a drive to read-only mode protects the contents of a drive from being read to, so that files on the drive cannot be accidently overwritten or edited. It can also protect the drive from potential malware and viruses on an infected computer because while in the read-only mode, the device cannot be written to.

All Kanguru Defender Encrypted Drives include the new Command Console, an onboard access window which is the Command Center to all aspects of the drive including anti-virus subscription, remaining space available on the drive, onboard applications and much more.

Kanguru now has a new secure back up feature through USBtoCloud®. With USBtoCloud, users can automatically back up their Kanguru Defender encrypted devices to their favorite cloud storage provider. In the event a Defender USB flash drive is ever lost, stolen or fails, the encrypted data can be recovered through secure restore options made available by the USBtoCloud app.

Self Service Password Management (SSPM) provides individual users with added peace of mind. With SSPM, users can set up a secure method to reset the password to their Defender USB device in the event they forget their password.

All Kanguru Defender USB Hardware Encrypted Drives are remotely manageable with the fully-integrated, Kanguru Remote Management Console (KRMC). This robust management feature allows Data Security Officers and IT Administrators to locate, monitor, create restrictions, permissions and provision the Defenderencrypted drives of their entire organization. Administrators can remotely wipe and/or delete secure USB drives that are lost or stolen, manage device configurations (passwords, policies, and activity), ensure drives are in compliance with set security policies, and much more. Two great options are available to the organization: Secure Cloud Interface, or a Self-Hosted On Premise.

Kanguru Defender secure drives meet Data Loss Protection and compliance with the toughest security standards and regulations including GDPR, HIPAA, GLBA, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and more. All Defender drives are TAA Compliant.
