Flash Drive keeps disconnecting - Data Recovery (2)
In this case we used DMDE professional and DeepSpar USB Stabilizer to image an unstable USB flash drive. Unstable in this case means the flash drive 'crashes' every few reads.
The combo was set up for no retries, and to give up on sectors we can not read within 300 ms. This results in 1000's of non read sectors. Only once we have tried reading every sector on the flash drive, we use the logfile to recover each sector that failed to read, this time giving the software the opportunity to do retries.
End result is that we were able to read and recover data from each and every sector.
