BIRTHDAY MESSAGE 2021
Today I turn 37, and again, it is time to turn the page.
In preparation for 2022, I take heed to the lessons learned from my father. In reflection of the life he led, and understanding that as his son, there is much to do in this life still. I cannot hesitate, so we will start again with a simple message here today.

The story of my life was set on a course when I was 19-20 years old, and I said goodbye to the Love of my Life. She had a vision that I did not see for myself, and I did something that very few do. I let her go. Being blessed with radiant beauty and a captivating presence, it did not take long for another man to find favor with her, and they were married within a short time. There was a hole left in my heart that needed to be filled. I toiled in many jobs, pursued many noble aims, learned lesson after lesson, positive and negative alike, but found very little love in the process. I sought knowledge over love for the longest time...
After roughly 13 years, I had discovered something profound about myself and In 2017, I concluded that the best thing I could ever give anyone else for my birthday was a recollection of the past year. In any manner I could, I resorted to making a video like this or going live on FB, writing down memories as a way of building upon the lessons learned. But having been without the 'Love' of my life, I learned a most valuable lesson in the process. That sacrifice alone has taught me the value of LOVE beyond what I hear most others experience is today!
It's value is not in the short sighted feeling of Love. It is not in its pleasure. It is not in creature comforts. It is not because of a likeness or similarity, and not from a number of other things including money. It's value is in the utility, giving LOVE is painful, worthwhile, earnest and kind.
Abstaining from HATE (NAHX) has been my path to LOVE; that is paramount! To find Love within myself I have had to recognize love when it seemed so far away, to abstain from its pleasure for long periods of time, choose to be uncomfortable and be right sized constantly with consequences of my own short comings, accepting those consequences even when it was the opposite of what I thought that I have deserved or needed!
I found Love when it came down from the Heavens, like a lightning bolt again, come down to right size my ego, humble my pride, and take away my demons.
This year I am thankful for the Love I have received from my friends, family and most especially you for reading/watching this.
