NIGHT PRAYER FOR A PURE HEART
Lord, you are my strength and my confidence. You are my hope and my shield, my defense. Hear the humble supplications I now make before your throne of mercy, asking your forgiveness for all my sins.
Do not give me what I deserve for what I have done. May your mercy preserve me in holiness and innocence, so that I may live a pure life in truth, humility, and justice. Sow the good word of truth in my heart and water it with the dew of your blessed Spirit, so that it may always bear the fruits of a holy life. Give me, Lord, clean hands and a pure heart. Teach me to follow your example and imitate your holiness, so that I may receive from you eternal rewards and the blessings of righteousness.
God of my salvation, allow me to ascend to where you have gone before. Fill my heart with the longing to enter those courts where you sit among millions of angels and blessed spirits.
Help my heart and eyes to overflow with sorrow and repentance for my sins, so that I may live a godly life and go from strength to strength until I stand before You and dwell in Your courts for all eternity.
And as I pray, do not let me forget to praise and magnify Your name because of all Your blessings of health, peace, and prosperity, which are renewed for me each morning.
I thank You, Eternal Father, for the mercies of this day, and I commit myself to Your protection tonight from death and danger. If I live another day, may I live in renewed obedience to all Your holy commandments, I pray through Jesus Christ. Amen.
