Very edgy, tortured Leo K character, yes yes.
Xiao's backstory and a "superpowered" preview of his gameplay are made available to the player in this story quest. When he's in his Burst (his Ultimate), he deals much more damage but it causes him to slowly begin dying constantly, systemizing his millenia-long suffering as a game-mechanic. He also has a dash that pierces enemies and stores two charges. (Three, at Constellation 1.)
In this mission he's in his Burst at all times.
In normal gameplay out in the world, like when the player has pulled him, Xiao does not operate this way. You would usually have to build Elemental Energy to be able to trigger this 'rage mode' character-state.
Very fun character. I enjoy him a lot and I'm intrigued to play with him more when I finally friendship-cap my current team.
