SpeedFix Rotator Cuff Repair- Slow mo
The SpeedFix procedure from Arthrex uses a Scorpion suture passer to move FiberTape suture through a Rotator Cuff tendon and anchors it to the humerus without tying any knots.
Here is TMG Clinical Specialist Dr Luis Senna, MD performing this simple repair in slow motion. We wanted to highlight the intricacies of the Scorpion suture passer and how the tails are moved through the suture to create an inverted mattress stitch. By pulling the suture tails through the eyelet of the anchor we create strong interference fixation.
