This car is a VAZ 2101, from 1971. Back then, not all parts for these cars were manufactured in the USSR. Production of all sorts of "small parts" hadn't yet been established, so parts like optics, windshield wipers, seat belts, and mirrors were purchased abroad from European manufacturers. Over time, production of all components was established in the USSR, and the installation of foreign parts on these cars ceased.
