Transcarpathian region is situated in the foothills of the Eastern Carpathians, and also includes the Transcarpathian lowland. In the south, the region borders with Romania, in the south-west - with Hungary, in the west - Slovakia and in the north - with Poland. Thus, the Transcarpathian region is a kind of Ukrainian "window to Europe".
Transcarpathian region - a major tourism area of national importance. Here there are at least 11 camp sites (4000 seats), including in Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Rakhiv, Volovets, Mizhhiria, Yassin and elsewhere; 4 travel agencies - in Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Khust and Rakhiv.
