CAK IMIN READY TO COMPETE DATA WITH MINISTER LUHUT ON MINING RESPONSES
Muhaimin Iskandar, Vice Presidential Candidate Number 1, participated in an open campaign rally on Monday afternoon, January 29, 2024, at the Pura Seni Temple in Yogyakarta. Cak Imin was greeted by hundreds of supporters from various coalitions.
Cak Imin's campaign greetings were accompanied by Tom Lembong, Co-Captain of the Anies-Muhaimin National Winning Team.
In his speech, Cak Imin highlighted the environmental damage occurring in Indonesia due to irresponsible mining practices. He also cited the example of nickel, which is currently being mined and sold to other countries.
He stated that the current nickel mines will only last for the next 15 years. If elected, he promised to improve them so that they will not run out and can be passed on to future generations.
In front of his supporters, Cak Imin accepted a challenge from Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Binsar Luhut Panjaitan, stating that he was ready to compete on data related to mining and downstreaming. He stated that he would arrange a time to meet with Luhut Panjaitan.
