Character Illustration Process: Sketch to Painting - Part 1
PART 1 of this video is an overview on how I bring a character from text to final illustration. I will demonstrate my workflow on how I start from a loose sketch, into cleanup, and eventually into a painting.
The steps are simple and quite easy to follow when understood. It's not pretty, but it gets results. I emphasize the importance of image references, set-up, and overcoming the initial rump of any piece.
