Casting a Shibuichi Knife and Ingot using a Copper Silver alloy
Today I'm casting a knife / letter opener using Shibuichi which is an alloy of copper and silver.
This Shibuichi contains 75% Copper and 25% silver. It has a lovely shine when it's polished up.
The blade on the knife is very thin, hopefully it will cast well.
The sand I am using is Petrobond sand which is an oil based sand.
The strange noises during the sped up parts of the video are a moto crosser riding around the fields in case you were wondering...
I will tidy these pieces up on the next video as I've hurt my back and can't lift a mould at the moment.
