TAKE A CHRISTMAS RIDE — SAFELY
The village of Aoloau is offering the Territory Christmas Greetings during this Holiday Season. Take a ride up to Aloloau and see the beautifully decorated Christmas trees lining the side of the road during the drive.
According to one of the villagers, who spoke to Samoa News last Saturday evening, the village community effort was lead by the Reverend Tapaleao Semo of the CCAS Aoloau Church – whereby each family in the village was given an opportunity to decorate their own tree with the village council and aumaga helping to set them up. Samoa News was told the lights were first lit just after Thanksgiving Day.
Please be careful when going up to see the lights — rain & fog makes it a dangerous ride. Go on a clear night — lights are usually lit by 7p.m. and turned off by 12 midnight, if not earlier. Thank you Aloau Village for your kind gift to all of us.
