Winter boots ( 1 pair)
Winter coat (1)
Winter accessories ( head sock, scarf, gloves, mittens, socks)
Light coats ( 2-3)

Over-the-counter medicines(Pain killers/ Cold and flu medicine/Vitamines etc)

Cooking stick (for nshima, saza, pap..)
Spices ( your favorite spices)
At least $200 cash
Important documents in a secure document folder. Insure that your passport is in passport cover.
Smart phone with WIFI(you may not be able to use it in your host country, but it's invaluable if you're stuck in domestic airports and need to contact someone for delayed flights, etc.)
Flash drive( at least 4 GB)
Laptop and charger (don't forget, you'll need an outlet adapter for the plug on your charger to work)
-Sheets/ bed linens ( don’t forget your fliss blanket)
-Bath towel/robe
-Headphones (for long plane/train rides)
Journal/ diary /Writing pad
Your favorite stationary
Backpack (for daily use and as your carry while traveling)
Plastic bottles for toiletries for use in your carry-on or while traveling.
