force stop kill windows service stuck at stopping by pid using taskkill powershell |
As a sharepoint administrator responsible for managing infrastructure facing issues like windows service stuck stopping or hung state. Mostly windows update service stuck at stopping and ststus is "stop pending". You have to kill PID process or task for resolving performance issues of server and will find the process with pid could not be terminated. You need to get pid of a process in windows command line (cmd) or powershell and try force kill or stop service of windows server in command line using taskkill or by powershell.
