Determining the r-value for validity testing
The r-value in statistics is also known as the product-moment r-value, and it functions to determine the validity of research indicators. There are two approaches commonly used by researchers to determine the r-value. First, we can use the DF formula, DF = n-2 (where n = the number of respondents), and the second approach is to look at the number of respondents without subtracting. The r-value distribution offers two significance levels: 5% and 1%, and researchers are free to choose between these two levels.
