Fabrication : savon noir du hammam
Hammam soap is used in Mediterranean countries for preparing the skin before exfoliation.
Recipe : oils 500g
potash 250 g
water 300g
If you have intensions to make a hard bar from potash, what you need to do is let the water content cook out, you may be left with crumbly flakey soap if left to cook for a long while. Don't worry at all.
Add some more water to the recipe and bring to the boil again till you get what looks like a melted chocolate drink.
This texture would ensure that when you pour you will get a hard bar that is also smooth and not falling apart.
