Facing Messmer the way Miyazaki Intended (18 Skibidi Fragments)
You can collect as many as 18 scadutree fragments before even facing Messmer and 14 before facing any boss in the game. Though the bosses themselves don't change, the damage you deal and those you receive are respectively increased and reduced. The scadutree fragments significantly impact your experience in the shadow of the erdtree DLC. Leveling up your character is still important for weapon scaling and wearing better armor but in case you are still struggling against a boss, you might want to do a bit of exploring.
