Microsoft Copilot for Finance Reconcile Data Demo
Currently, Gen AI’s real value lies in small, steady productivity gains. This is the approach Microsoft has taken with Copilot for Finance.
Copilot for Finance is a product Microsoft created to expedite manual processes for finance teams, such as data retrieval, reconciliation, and variance analysis. It is envisioned to extend into Outlook and Teams to answer financial questions in real-time, but they have started with a beta version in Excel.
At the moment, the pre-release beta version only includes data reconciliation functionality. I provide an example of that functionality below. My initial thoughts are that this could be extremely useful for small businesses with relatively simple financial reporting needs. I'm interested to see how this evolves over time.
