TechCorr’s Rope Access Crews were tasked to strip all the insulation on an abandoned 130-foot tall Electrostatic Precipitator in lieu of scaffolding and cranes. TechCorr was chosen because of concerns regarding the structural integrity of the thermal insulation system. Our experienced insulation team worked diligently to first stabilize the structure and then remove it without incident or dropped insulation. The entire process was considered much safer and quicker; effectively saving the client hundreds of thousands of dollars. The crews will next prepare the equipment for demolition which will involve cold cutting, welding lifting lugs, and unbolting equipment while controlling equipment during lifting.
