Albümü anlatacak olursam... kayıtlar boyunca esas motivasyonum aslında “yapıp yapamayacağımı görmek” oldu. Gitar, bas, cümbüş, ud vs. telli çalgılar olması sebebiyle bir yere kadar kıvırıyorum ama daha önce synthesizer üzerine adam gibi mesai harcamışlığım yoktu. O yüzden bu albümde biraz neler yapabileceğimi keşfetmek, sınırlarımı zorlamak istedim. Albüm, adından da anlaşılabileceği üzere biraz hayatımdan kesitler sunan bir çalışma. Ana karnında başlayan bir yolculuğun ve sonunda yolu İstanbul’a düşen, büyük şehir hayatında sıkışıp kalan bir adamın hikayesi. Aralarda gördüğü rüyalarla geçmişine, çocukluğuna bazen de hayal dünyasına yolculuk yapıyoruz bu adamın. Albümü dokuz-altı çalışırken, günlük koşuşturmaların arasında, yarım saat oradan, yarım saat buradan artırarak, altı aylık bir süreçte kaydettim. Farklı türleri bir araya getirmeyi denediğim bir çalışma olduğundan bende farklı bir yeri oldu. Alıştığım enstrümanlardan uzak durmak, beni konfor bölgemden çıkarttığı için müzikal olarak da bana bir şeyler kattığını düşünüyorum. A few words about the album ...
I can say that my main motivation during the recordings was actually seeing if I can manage to pull it off. I play the guitar, bass, oud, cümbüş etc. to some extent since all of them are stringed instruments, but I didn’t spent much time to play synth before so it was quite a bit challange for me. The recording process allowed me to discover if I could materialise what I envisioned in my mind. As it can be understood from the album name, it depicts some fragments from my own life. It is a story of a man who ended up in the heart of Istanbul, stuck in the vicious cycle of big city life. Some songs pay a visit to his past, and some to his dreams. Finishing the album took six months in total, during those rare moments where I managed to create some time in between daily hustle and bustle. Due to the fact that I tried to mix different genres under one umbrella it has a different significance for me. It brought me out of my comfort zone and I think it added something to me, musically.
