Which Country to Apply for Schengen Visa
Country with the Maximum Stay - If you are staying unequal days in the Schengen countries, then you will need to apply from the country where you are staying for the most part of the trip.
Example: For a 15-day trip, if you spend 5 days in France, 4 days in Italy, 4 days in Switzerland, and 2 days in Germany, then you have to apply for Schengen Visa through France.
First Port of Entry - If the duration of your stay in all the countries is equal, then you have to apply through the country where you will enter first.
Example: For a 16-day trip, if you spend 4 days each in France, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland and your flight is to Switzerland from India, then you apply for Schengen Visa through Switzerland.
