After violently strangling Desdemona, Otello looks on in a kind of trance, as Emilia reveals the depths of Iago's maleficence... he acknowledges that he is at the end of his road... and kills himself... Shakespeare's words, "I kissed thee 'ere I killed thee, none but this, killing myself, to die upon a kiss..."
