Herald of Ice works from your second weapon set. You don't even need it on your main set. This gives you 30 spirit back, and potentially opens up Mahuxotl or a 2-handed mace to juice up your herald of ice.
I'm not big on exploiting, but this one seems rather inconsequential in the scope of PoE2 EA. Plus what isn't bugged right now?
