👩🏻🎨 Tighten a LOOSE CANVAS 🖼️
Sometimes stretched canvases can get a little wobbly with changes in humidity. This little canvas doesn’t have a space for keys. I’ve used a commercial tightening spray before but I didn’t have any handy and wondered if acrylic medium would do the job. After a quick interweb search, it seemed like a reasonable solution. I used approximately one part acrylic matte medium and one part water. I brushed the mixture onto the back of the canvas, then dipped a palette knife into the solution and slipped it under the stretcher bars and into the corners. I used a hair dryer to speed up the drying process and it tightened up quite well.
