Kevin Madden Defends Paul Ryans Attack On Obama For Medicare Cuts
Kevin Madden the senior adviser of the Romney campaign has defended Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan for saying that President Obama has raided Medicare to pay for Obamacare despite the fact that Ryan is including the same cuts in his own proposed budget.
Madden stated on Sunday according to ABC News, that: "What President Obama did actually weakens Medicare. It takes $700 billion out of it and uses it to spend on a new entitlement, which is part of Obamacare. What Romney-Ryan does is actually restore those cuts, puts it back into Medicare to make it more solvent."
Both Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan have made the charge on the campaign trail this week, contending that Obama cut $716 billion from Medicare in order to pay for the Affordable Care Act. Ryan stated at a campaign stop in Florida yesterday that:
