Crawford Art Gallery will close to the public on the evening of Sunday 22 September as we embark on our significant Capital Redevelopment project, Transforming Crawford Art Gallery.
Transforming Crawford Art Gallery is part of Project Ireland 2040, in partnership with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Art, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media.
This ambitious initiative, designed by the award-winning Grafton Architects in partnership with the Office of Public Works (OPW), will significantly enhance our facilities and expand our offerings for the future.
The exciting redevelopment will expand our overall space by 50%, introduce a new top-floor gallery with stunning views of Cork, offer state of the art storage for the collection, a new Learn and Explore facility, restore the historic Customs House entrance, add extensive new visitor facilities and all complemented with new landscaping. Additionally, a new restaurant will open on Half Moon Street.
We invite you to stay connected for updates on our progress by following our social media channels or visiting www.crawfordartgallery.ie. Thank you for your continued support as we take this significant step forward.
