Ulverston The Lakes for the Best Fisn n Chips, A Pint, & a visit to see Laurel & Hardy. Ulverston is only 17.7 miles from the Windermere. Home to the Laurel & Hardy Museum. This lovely old market town has little shops, pubs, bars & an indoor market (closed on certain days) with lots of parking. Nice relaxed and friendly feeling to the place.
