REMEMBER THAT ALL KNOWLEDGE IS VALID, AND IN THIS VIDEO I EXPRESS MY OPINION AS A PROFESSIONAL HAIRDRESSER BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT. Regarding the LEAVE TIME, the brand does NOT recommend exceeding 1 hour and a half (one and a half hours). According to LET ME BE's recommendations, the ideal is to leave it on for 50 minutes for blonde, dyed, or gray hair, and up to 1 hour and a half for more resistant and thick hair. Regarding the strand test, according to the brand, it should be done at least four (4) days before the straightening treatment to observe how the hair reacts. The acid acts from the inside out and takes time to show any type of reaction. Regarding compatibility, the Protein Smoothing One-Step Straightening treatment is compatible with all chemical treatments EXCEPT HÊ, as henna is not compatible with other chemicals. Let Me Be recommends waiting 60 days after the last chemical treatment and then performing the strand test.
STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS RECOMMENDED BY THE BRAND:
We advise that you should perform the strand test at least three to four days beforehand.
Shake the bottle well before use.
Application of the product DOES NOT REQUIRE PRE-WASHING WITH ANTI-RESIDUE SHAMPOO.
It is only necessary to wash your hair beforehand with regular shampoo (for daily use) if your hair has been treated with cream, spray, leave-in, oil, or any other product. In this case, after washing, rinse completely and allow the hair to dry completely before applying the product.
For perfect results, apply the product directly to DRY HAIR (do not apply to the scalp). Wait up to 50 minutes for blonde, dyed, gray, or bleached hair, or up to 1.5 hours for normal/resistant hair.
Rinse only with cold water, removing the product completely.
Dry completely (DO NOT BRUSH).
Straighten fine sections several times until the cuticle is sealed, 20 to 30 times depending on hair type.
For best results, use titanium flat irons.
For normal, thick, or resistant hair, use a heat setting of 230°C or 450°F.
For blonde, gray, or colored hair, use a flat iron at a temperature of 180°C or 360°F.
TIP FOR BLONDE, GRAY, COLORED, BLEACHED, HIGHLIGHTED, OR HIGHLIGHTED HAIR:
The processing time for bleached, gray, or dyed hair is UP TO 50 minutes.
After the processing time, rinse completely and dry completely (do not brush).
Use a flat iron at a maximum temperature of 170°C (350°F).
You can tone your hair immediately after application if necessary (without ammonia).
For shades above 7 or platinum, you can mix your preferred toner with the Protein Smoothing One-Step treatment at a ratio of 80ml of straightening treatment to 20g of toner.
