Why Foreigners Should Speak TAGALOG
Maraming dahilan kung bakit dapat pag-aralan ang mga wika ng Pilipinas ng mga dayuhan na nakatira dito. If you’re a foreigner living in the Philippines or with a Filipino spouse or relatives: Could you understand what I just wrote? The reality is that if you are deeply involved with someone who speaks another language, you should make the effort to also learn it, because you cannot fully know or respect that person(s). Our identities are fused to our languages we speak.
If you really wanna know someone all the way, learn their language. Today, we are specifically discussing Tagalog. I hope that this short film is both entertaining and educational as we explore how cultural and language barriers could be overcome by learning another’s language. This is the tourism that matters! Foreigners coming over and treasuring the beautiful languages of this country, the Pearl of the Orient, the Philippines!
