This week we thank Lynn for our project inspiration! She has made many of these folded fabric trivet/potholders over the years, and thought it would be a great one to share with all of you! We think she was right!
Every week we will share our shop news, ask our question of the week for your chance to win our sample, draw a $10 gift card winner from folks who paid with cash or check, celebrate a quilt of the week, and share new fabrics at the shop!
Materials for Folded Fabric Trivet or Potholder:
6 - 10" squares of quilting cotton (be sure it is 100% cotton to avoid "melting" when used for hot things) (we used part of a layer cake. If you love the fabric we used, we have 3 of these layer cakes left at the shop: https://www.goldenanchorquilting.com/...)
1 - 10" square of Insul-Bright thermal batting
1 - 10" square of scrap 100% cotton batting
100% cotton Thread for piecing
These are safe for potholders or using as trivets, but NOT safe in the microwave.
