The series revolves around a murder committed by Saad Al-Hazzaz, driven by his greed for antiquities he acquired from an archaeological site. He sells these artifacts through an import/export company specializing in such activities, run by two partners, Fares and Tawfiq. Al-Hazzaz later becomes their third partner before leaving to pursue his life in the drug trade.
On another level, the series sheds light on the conflict surrounding the separation of a large textile factory between Fayez Al-Nu'mani on one side and his uncle, Abu Adel, and his son, Adel, on the other. Fayez seeks independence, while Abu Adel lives in constant anxiety for his nephew Fayez should the separation occur.
