CAN YOU fix a DRONE with SUPER GLUE?
How I fixed a broken left front arm of my DJI Mavic Mini drone with baking soda, super glue and Gorilla tape after I had crashed my drone! Cinematic style story / DIY tutorial.
I had to repair the broken arm twice. First time the short test flight at -5 C went fine, but during a longer flight at -10 C the glue fix gave up. Second time I used multiple layers of gorilla glue and baking powder first beneath the tape slices and then on top of the tape slices to anchor those in a robust manner. The second repair is still working well. What I learned:
1. With that much bulk / weight the flight stability is affected and I had to stabilize the drone and add some weight also to the right front arm.
2. Repair bulk blocked the joint movement and I cant fold the repaired arm all the way anymore.
