The Shalimar Project is an arrangement created by The Jobless Quartet, a side project of trumpet player, composer and arranger Kishore Sodha (Mumbai), singer, songwriter, actor, educator and dancer Ujjayinee Roy (Mumbai & Chennai), keyboard player and arranger Ranodeep Mukherjee (Kolkata) and audio engineer and guitar player Bob Phukan (Chennai). This song is a fusion of two iconic compositions of RD Burman from the Indian film Shalimar. The two songs are The Romantic Theme and Mera Pyar Shalimar.
