Why does my Yamaha CP4 keyboard start in a transposing state?
It’s shockingly easy to accidentally set the default state of your CP4 or CP44 to a +1 semitone transposition.
Basically if you accidentally press the three buttons to the left of the display in order accidentally (like sliding a book over them) the keyboard sets a new default tuning. What the heck, Yamaha.
The solution is to reset the tuning and then press: UTILITY and then STORE.
