Understanding and researching the public record collection
This training video will explain different ways to research the collection at Public Record Office Victoria. Using the online tools available the video explains the catalogue results page, how to best use the filters on the screen, why the About tab on the landing pages for Agency and Series pages is important to read, and other tips to get the best result for your research. There are also many subject based pages which have already identified the best series to search across and instructions on what keywords to use.
