Livgardets musketerarkår performs at the The Royal Palace at Midsummer
On Midsummer's Day this year, Sweden celebrates 500 years of unbroken royal guard. To celebrate the day, music and a parade - and of course a high vigil - will take place in Stockholm. The guard parade starts at Södermalm and marches along the same route that Gustav Vasa took exactly 500 years ago. In addition, a procession goes the same way. It is a staging of Vasa's entry into Stockholm.
