If you know me, you know I love ryegrass but first year plants can be a pain sometimes after the seed head stage is over in late spring and stalks and steam turn brown in the lawn.
The only real solution I have found for this is a scalp and of course I did this when temps were in the 90s and it certainly wasn't ideal weather wise.
I was already mowing almost as low as my zero turn will go so in order to get a scalp in, my neighbor brought over his fairway mower. It helps to have good friends!!
A few weeks later the results are looking great again and I'll have an update on that soon! #lawngoals #frontyardgolfcourse #perennialryegrass
